Did you know… SAMBA has three highly educational webinars this month?

This is a busy month for education at SAMBA with three scheduled webinars: March 10th, 2026; March 25th, 2026; and March 26th, 2026. Yesterday evening, Drs. David Ninan, Dustin Coyle, John Hsieh and Linda Magill presented Private Practice – Where are we now? The webinar was moderated by Drs. Beth Ladlie and Donna Lien and the panel of SAMBA physician members dove into current hot topics, real-world challenges, and evolving opportunities across ambulatory and office-based anesthesia. These topics are especially relevant to residents and fellows; information that you won’t find in textbooks. If you are a SAMBA member and missed this excellent webinar, watch the recording here; and if you aren’t a SAMBA member, sign up today to get the benefits!

On March 25th, 2026, we continue our combined webinar series with the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society (CAS). Register and join us for the “Bad Outcomes in Strange Times” Mitochondrial DNA Mutation in Specific Patient Population with Drs. Claudia Bruguera Torres and Luis Rodriguez and will be moderated by Dr. Carlos Ibarra Moreno. Approximately 36 healthy patients with Venezuelan ancestry have suffered severe neurologic complications, including stroke and death, after routine anesthesia. Anesthesiologists are now advised to screen for Venezuelan maternal heritage and consider alternative anesthetic plans for at-risk individuals. Register here today!

Lastly, on March 26th, 2026, please join our webinar sponsored by Medtronic titled Don’t Wait for a Sentinel Event – Why You Should Monitor Capnography in Your Surgery Center presented by Dr. Ashish Chawla and moderated by Dr. Jaime Hyman. Dr. Chawla will examine the real-world limitations of ASA-PS class risk assessment, the evolving expectations of oversight committees and accreditation bodies, and the safety gaps created by inconsistent guidance across clinical societies. Those who will join will gain clarity on current accreditation rules and exceptions, understand where ASC safety policies commonly fall short, and learn how Microstream™ capnography technology enhances both patient safety and operational efficiency. Register here today!

If you are unable to attend our March webinars live, make sure you are a current SAMBA Member to have the benefits of watching the recordings on our website through your account. If you are not yet a member, become one today here!
