SAMBA and Medtronic Webinar: Don’t Wait for a Sentinel Event – Why You Should Monitor Capnography in Your Surgery Center

Thursday, March 26, 2026
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM (CDT)

* Registration open until 3/26/26 at 5:00 PM (CDT)

Patient safety events in endoscopy are often preventable—but only if risks are identified early and monitored appropriately. This webinar explores why capnography should be a standard of care in surgery centers and how proactive monitoring can protect patients, staff, and your organization.

We’ll examine the real-world limitations of ASA class risk assessment, the evolving expectations of oversight committees and accreditation bodies, and the safety gaps created by inconsistent guidance across clinical societies. Attendees will gain clarity on current accreditation rules and exceptions, understand where ASC safety policies commonly fall short, and learn how Microstream™ capnography technology enhances both patient safety and operational efficiency.

Key topics include:

  • Patient risk considerations and challenges with ASA-class assessment
  • Accreditation and oversight requirements (Class A, B, and C)—and where exceptions apply
  • Safety policy gaps driven by non-uniform standards across ASA and ASGE
  • How Microstream™ capnography hardware and sampling lines improve respiratory safety in ASCs
  • The productivity impact of accurate, reliable capnography on workflow and patient throughput

Whether you’re focused on compliance, risk reduction, or efficiency, this session will provide practical insights to help you move from reactive response to proactive monitoring—before a sentinel event occurs.
