Learning Objectives:

• Learn the indications for performing point of care gastric ultrasound.
• Explore how gastric ultrasound can evaluate the volume and nature of stomach contents, impact the selection of anesthetic methods, lower the likelihood of aspiration pneumonia, and help PREVENT THE CANCELLATION OR DELAY OF CASES.
• Outline the increased risks associated with anesthesia in patients who are using Glucagon-like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists.
