Online registration closed. Please register at meeting.

Registration for the SAMBA Mid Year Meeting 2004 is $145 for SAMBA members, $195 for non-SAMBA members and $50 for residents. This registration fee includes the course syllabus, all educational presentations, a continental breakfast, a luncheon and coffee breaks. Early registration is recommended as seating may be limited. The preregistration deadline is September 19, 2004. Registrations received after that date will not be processed and will be returned so that the individuals can register onsite.

Cancellation of registration must be submitted in writing, and will be accepted up until one week prior to the beginning of the conference. Please include your home address to expedite the processing of your check. Your refund, less a $50 administrative fee, will be sent after the conclusion of the meeting.

Hotel Reservations - TOP
Hotel reservations may be made through the ASA Web site at www.asahq.org. Reserving a hotel room via the Internet should only take a few minutes of your time. A required hotel room deposit ($200) will be charged to your credit card immediately to secure your room reservation. The Web site will also require an e-mail address with which to acknowledge your reservation.


CME Credits - TOP
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the Joint Sponsorship of the American Society of Anesthesiolgists and the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia. The American Society of Anesthesiologists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medial Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Society of Anesthesiologists designates this educational activity for a maximum of 8.0 hours in Category 1 credit towards the AMA Physicians Recognition Award. Each physican should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Online submission will be available after the ASA 2004 Annual Meeting.

The Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia invites electronic submission of abstracts for presentation at the SAMBA 20th Annual Meeting, May 12-15, 2005, at Camelback Inn Resort, Club and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. Abstracts will be graded competitively on the basis of scientific merit and will be selected for poster presentation.

The Society has improved its online abstract submission making it easier for everyone to submit abstracts for presentation at the SAMBA Annual Meeting. To submit an abstract, visit the SAMBA Web site at www.sambahq.org, click on abstract submission and follow the step-by-step instructions.

Papers presented at the SAMBA Annual Meeting are eligible for presentation a subsequent meetings of the American Society of Anesthesiologists as well as to the International Anesthesia Research Society 2005 Annual Congress.

Resident’s Travel Awards - TOP

SAMBA encourages anesthesiology residents to become more involved in the Society by making available a limited number of $1,000 Travel Award to residents whose abstracts are accepted for presentation. Residents, who receive travel awards for their abstracts, remain eligible for White Mountain Institute Award for research in Ambulatory Anesthesia as well as the Excellence in Research recognition.

Ambulatory anesthesia is the most rapidly growing subspecialty in anesthesiology. It is hoped that the travel awards will increase the interest of anesthesia residents in this exciting subspecialty.

Please do not delay. Only abstracts submitted electronically through the SAMBA Web site will be considered for grading. The deadline to electronically submit abstracts is February 15, 2005.
