Camelback Inn has been welcoming guests to its award-winning desert hideaway for more than 60 years. Camelback Inn welcomes SAMBA back for the third time! The vision of a world-class retreat in the picturesque Sonoran Desert sprang from the mind of ambitious young hotel manager Jack Stewart. Mr. Stewart and the Marriott family have continued to renovate this spectacular resort to meet each guests needs.
The state of the art Jackrabbit Pool facility has amazing views of Camelback and Mummy Mountains. The intelligently designed pool area has a children's play area with giant water spraying geckos, underwater music, a large recreational pool, a smaller scale lap pool, and the new Hoppin' Jack's eatery.
Chaparral, Camelback Inn's legendary restaurant, is taking you back to a time when supper clubs sizzled with hot rhythms and cool lyrics. Chaparral features an awardwinning wine list with over 40 wines by the glass and stunning sunset views of Camelback Mountain. Savor the true taste of Arizona in Navajo. Rich in Southwestern ambiance and charming hospitality, enjoy a flavorful breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dine with spectacular views of Camelback Mountain, or poolside, by the blooming North Garden. In addition to Chaparral and Navajo, Camelback Inn has many other fantastic dining choices. Sprouts at the Spa features the latest heart-health menu selections. Spa at Camelback Inn re-opened its doors after a complete $8 million renovation with a new design and a full complement of spa offerings. The renovation included a new state-of-the-art fitness center, 32 treatment rooms, spa pool, and Scottsdale's only spa restaurant, Sprouts. The Spa at Camelback has a variety of skin care treatments such as the Camelback Signature Facial, Botanical Back Facial, Defense Zone Facial for Men, among many others. Camelback Inn offers a variety of newly renovated rooms for all SAMBA meeting attendees. Casitas include two over-sized double beds or a king bed, color TV, remote control, AM/FM radio, kitchenettes with "stove-top" or microwave, refrigerator and service-bar, make-up mirror, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, coffee maker, valet, fax and computer hook-up via telephone with high-speed internet, voice messaging and private patio or balcony. Camelback Inn offers 27 suites, either one bedroom, two bedroom, bi-level, or deluxe suites. The five luxurious deluxe suites offer spacious parlors with spacious bathrooms and natural wood ceilings. Sundeck rooms feature oversized guest rooms with extra large balconies overlooking the blooming North Garden and majestic Camelback Mountain. The decks are perfect for entertaining or just relaxing and enjoying the Arizona sunshine. Deluxe Suites are unmatched for comfort and elegance. They come complete with a private pool and large patio for casual entertaining. Each suite connects with two separate bedrooms. Another
Camelback original that continues to delight guests is Hopalong College,
one of the resort industry's most renowned and longest running children's
shows. The program was named for frequent visitor Hopalong Cassidy (actor
William Boyd). Known for being generous to children, Camelback Inn promises
to carry on his legacy for many years to come.
Early guests included many celebrities and business leaders, including Mrs. Dwight D. Eisenhower, Clark Gable, Jimmy Stewart, Bette Davis and J.W. Marriott, Sr. who shared the Stewart's love for Camelback Inn. The Marriott's proudly made the Camelback Inn their first resort in 1967.
