COMPUTERIZED PRE-ANESTHESIA PATIENT INTERVIEW - TOP

Computerized patient interview systems are becoming increasingly utilized for preoperative evaluation. SAMBA member, Dr. Gary Kantor, and his colleagues have developed a Pre-Anesthesia Interview (PAI) which is a novel, secure, and universally available, internet-based history-taking system.  Use of the PAI system is free and does not require registration.  At the end of the interview the patient simply prints the Interview results and brings the printout to the hospital or other venue (e.g. Pre-anesthesia Clinic).

The PAI system is now available for use at http://www.netwellness.org/interview/anesthesia. If anyone has had experience with other computerized patient interview systems which they would like to share with SAMBA TALKS readers, please send us a note.
