Although
on-line registration for the SAMBA 2004 Mid Year Meeting is now
closed, you can still register on-site at the meeting. This year's
conference will be held in Las Vegas on October 22, 2004 (one day
before the start of the ASA Annual Meeting). The full meeting program

2005 SAMBA ANNUAL MEETING - TOP
Mark
your calendars for the 20th Annual SAMBA Meeting,
to be held May 12-15, 2005 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Plan now to attend
this unique educational experience bringing together internationally
known experts from across the field of ambulatory anesthesia!
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS AND RESIDENT TRAVEL AWARDS -
TOP
SAMBA's Committee on Scientific Papers has issued a call for abstracts for presentation at the SAMBA 20th Annual Meeting in May 2005. Abstracts will be graded on the basis of scientific merit and will be selected for poster presentation. Abstracts presented at the SAMBA Annual Meeting are eligible for presentation at subsequent meetings of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the International Anesthesia Research Society.
The
Society encourages residents in anesthesiology training programs to
become more involved in SAMBA. To this end, the Society will issue
a limited number of Resident
Travel Awards to anesthesiology residents whose scientific abstracts
are accepted for presentation at the SAMBA 2004 Annual Meeting.
Abstract submission will be available through the SAMBA Web site after the ASA 2004 Annual Meeting in October 2004. Only abstracts submitted electronically will be considered for grading. The deadline to submit abstracts is February 15, 2005.
NEW ZEALAND AMBULATORY ANAESTHESIA ADVENTURE - TOP
The
New Zealand Ambulatory Anaesthesia Adventure will be held on January
28 to February 4, 2005. Experience the wonderful country of New Zealand

anesthesia!
SAMBA 2004-2005 COMMITTEES -

The
president of SAMBA, Dr. Kathryn McGoldrick, has announced the
SAMBA committee chairs and members for 2004-2005. The SAMBA committees
are an integral part of our society, and it is through their efforts
that the missions of the society are carried out. SAMBA encourages
individuals who may be interested in becoming a member of a committee
to read a summary of the committees' functions here.
